One of Kuzica’s symbolist works, this sculpture is inspired by the story of the Jewish Persian queen Esther. Her name means ‘star’, but the Hebrew word root also denotes ‘hiding’ and ‘concealment’. The artwork ponders contemporary society influenced by information trends that often obscure a person’s real identity and might even cloud its sense for oneself. Installed on a special three-sided pedestal, it also responds to the ‘golden idols’ of pop culture and warns of the temptation to divinize them.
